RSVP for Confluence Cloud is moving to Atlassian Forge.
This is an upgrade to the app platform behind RSVP. For most people, RSVP will continue to work much the same way after the move.
What is changing
-
RSVP will run on Atlassian Forge instead of the previous platform.
-
Existing RSVP macros can be enabled on the new version after your site migration is completed.
-
Some parts of the app may look slightly different after the move.
-
In some cases, a site admin may be asked to finish a few steps in the RSVP Migration Console.
What is not changing
-
Your existing RSVP macros on Confluence pages stay in place.
-
The main RSVP workflow stays the same: view attendees, sign up, remove a response, and export attendees.
-
You can complete the migration without historical RSVP data and import that data later if needed.
What site admins need to do
If your site needs action, open the RSVP Migration Console and follow the steps there.
1. Prepare your site
Set up the new RSVP storage for this Confluence site.
This step is required before you can complete the migration.
2. Request historical RSVP data (optional)
Only do this if you want to keep past RSVP responses.
If you skip this step:
-
Existing RSVP macros can still be enabled after migration.
-
New RSVP responses will be stored normally.
-
You can request and import historical data later if needed.
To include historical data, submit a request to Krosoft Support. Krosoft retains historical data for one year before retirement.
3. Import historical data
If Krosoft Support provides a migration file for your site, upload it in the RSVP Migration Console.
This imports your previous RSVP responses and existing RSVP macro data for the site.
4. Complete the migration
Finish the migration for this site after storage is prepared.
You can do this:
-
right after step 1 if you are skipping historical data for now, or
-
after step 3 if you are importing historical data now.
After this step, RSVP macros can run on the new version for your site.
What to expect during migration
-
Migration is completed per Confluence site.
-
Some sites may need a site admin to finish the migration steps.
-
Historical RSVP data import is optional and can be done later.
If something looks wrong
If RSVP responses appear to be missing, or the macro does not behave as expected after migration, contact Krosoft Support before editing affected pages.
