Sync Tempo plans to Outlook with Power Automate

Send Tempo plans to one Outlook calendar through a Power Automate flow. The flow matches each appointment by its complete occurrence ID, so sending the plan again updates the same appointment instead of creating a duplicate. Changes in Tempo update the same Outlook appointment with Tempo’s current values.

For this recipe, use Daily events with start and end times. Test with a separate Outlook calendar before enabling delivery for a working calendar.

Set up the direct connection

  1. Prepare the flow using the Power Automate flow setup guide.

  2. In Planning Sync, add a Power Automate destination. Follow Outbound destinations in the user manual for the app form.

  3. Choose Signed webhook URL for the simpler setup. Use Signed webhook URL + shared secret only if your organisation requires the extra credential. The flow and app must use matching settings.

Check that repeat sync updates the same appointment

Use the shared Outlook validation and troubleshooting guide for the first appointment, repeat sync, edit/delete and recovery checks. Both Outlook recipes use that checklist.

Optional: show date-and-duration plans as all-day appointments

See Optional date-only support in the direct flow preparation guide for configuration and limitations.

If your organisation requires verification of signed request contents through Azure, use the separate Azure-verified Outlook recipe. Compare prerequisites in the Recipes index.
